Will Pogba end up at the Bernabeu this summer?
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly ‘hell-bent’ on signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.
Zidane and Real Madrid are not messing around in the transfer window after their disappointment in the last campaign.
Los Blancos did not win a single trophy and their Champions League performances were not up to their usual standard.
That lead to both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari being sacked before Zidane’s return.
Now, the club are going about their rebuild by throwing money at the problem.
Real Madrid have already signed Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy, Luka Jovic, Rodrygo and Éder Militão.
Though, they may not be done just yet.
That’s because according to reports, Zinedine Zidane is ‘hell-bent’ on signing Paul Pogba.
Zidane ‘hell-bent’ on landing Pogba
According to L’Equipe, as cited by Get French Football News, Zidane was offered the signing of Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.
However, Zidane is ‘hell-bent’ on signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba instead.
Though, it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to sign the Frenchman.
According to the same report, the deal is ‘complicated’ due to a ‘tricky’ relationship with super agent Mino Raiola and Paul Pogba’s wage demands.
Though, one plus side is that the report also claims ‘the French international has zero intention of remaining at Manchester United and for that reason is refusing to shut the door on an eventual move to PSG, even though from an FFP standpoint a deal is seemingly impossible.’
Only time will tell if Zidane gets his way.
