A note on Simon Francis

Simon Francis has been another long-term injury absentee for Bournemouth.

Francis has been out of action since last December, who he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Francis didn’t compete in the midweek game against QPR.

However, following earlier quotes from Eddie Howe, the hope is that Francis could return to training soon.

Will Chris Mepham be available vs Everton?

That’s in doubt.

Chris Mepham was subbed out of the international friendly bewteen Wales and Belarus in midweek.

As confirmed by the Bournemouth Echo, Mepham’s substitution was forced:

Cherries will be hoping Chris Mepham has not joined the club’s lengthy list of absentees.

(Mepham) was withdrawn on 77 minutes due to an injury concern and replaced by Charlton Athletic’s Tom Lockyer.

For the record, Mepham has played 90 minutes in all of Bournemouth’s matches this season.

The defender also got on the scoresheet in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United at the beginning of the campaign.
